What is the size of samples?

Samples are for colour and texture reference only and will not show an entire pattern repeat.

Samples come in different sizes but mostly are approx. A4 in size.

Why samples are not free?

As we do not hold stock of our entire range, we purchase samples from manufacturers, fly them in and stock them in our Sydney warehouses - we make these affordable as possible, including a bundle deal when you purchase 5 or more.

Why are samples sent in tracked envelopes?

Firstly, we want you to get them as fast as possible, and secondly you are provided a tracking number so you can have that extra peace of mind that they will arrive safely.

How many rolls do I need?

Please use our roll estimator to calculate how many rolls of your chosen wallpaper you require.
The roll estimator excludes calculation of windows and doors and is an estimate only.

Please contact your installer for a precise calculation or contact us for an estimation.

What is the cost of delivery?

Delivery is free Australia-wide on orders over $99, and free over $200 to New Zealand. For other orders, delivery is calculated at checkout based on courier rates for where you live. For samples there is a small delivery fee. Shipping for A4 Samples is calculated at checkout based on where you live.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery will vary depending on the product you are ordering, and is up to 10-12 business days for imported rolls from overseas. Please refer to ordering and delivery on our website for current lead times for our full range of products.

Exchange rates

When you place an order, eurowalls prices are converted to your local currency which change automatically with market exchange rates.

There are a few important things you need to know before proceeding with the installation of your new wallpaper.

Please read the following IMPORTANT WARRANTY INFORMATION prior to opening and installing your new wallpaper.

How do I install wallpaper?

We recommend the use of professional installers. Please contact us for our preferred suppliers in your location.
If you are comfortable to install yourself, please follow the instructions on the manufacturers label included with each wallpaper roll delivered.

What adhesive should I use on my wallpaper?

Different wallpapers require different adhesive, Contact us or purchase the online recommended adhesive in your cross sell cart.

NOTE: eurowalls™ fire ratings and tests were carried out using our recommended adhesive. If a fire certificate is required for your project, you will need to purchase the correct adhesive to ensure compliance under the BCA.

Can I buy the adhesives and tools to do the whole job?

We do not currently stock other decorating tools apart from adhesive.

Why do some papers say to paste the wall?

Technology in wallpaper manufacture has advanced since the original classic paper, dating back to the 1970s or earlier. The introduction of polyester fibres in paper pulp, means non-woven wallpaper does not expand when wet and therefore does not need to soak before being installed. With this new technology of non-woven products, adhesive can only be applied directly to the wall.

However, there are some paper products still sold in the market and they will need to be applied in accordance with the directions of the manufacturer's label. This is especially important for grass-cloth and sisal products. We always recommend installation by a professional installer, so please do not hesitate to contact us for advise and/or recommendations.

Must I use a lining paper?

This depends on your wall. If you have imperfections on your wall we recommend the use of lining paper. It is also good practise if you are new to wallpaper hanging. You must use the same adhesive for your lining paper as your wallpaper.

What does the pattern match on my wallpaper mean?

Most wallpaper is printed on rollers and therefore each wallpaper pattern has a repeat. Some common pattern repeats are:

Straight match
 - means that the pattern matches across the width of the wallpaper. The label of the wallpaper will tell you how often the pattern repeats.

Offset match - sometimes called a half-drop, means the match is obtained by halving the repeat. For example a label might state a 53/26.5cm offset match. This means the design repeats every 53cm and the point at which they match from left to right is every 26.5cm.

Free match - means there is no matching required. It is the easiest product to hang, as no matter how the strips of wallpaper are hung, no visible join or seams.

What is a batch number?

Wallpaper is printed in batches of rolls. It is important to have the same batch number, to ensure colours match exactly on installation.
The batch number is usually located on the wallpaper label close to the pattern number.

What is non-woven wallpaper?

Non-woven substrate is a relatively new technique where polyester is added to paper. To make this substrate: 70% of woodpulp and 30% of polyester is mixed and bonded together for extra strength and dimensional stability. It is the latest technology in wallpaper, creating easier application & easy removal whilst enhancing textures.

With Non-woven you are only required to apply adhesive to the wall during installation to make it easy for DIY - but don't apply on both as it will over-saturate the product and bleed through.

No, wallpapers itself are not waterproof as they are made out of paper, but you can still apply them in bathrooms or powder rooms, as long as the wallpaper is not installed near running water (ie. inside shower cabin), and the bathroom is well ventilated and mould-free. Wallpapers have some water resistance, but not much, and keeping them dry at all times will help you maximise the lifespan of your wallpaper.

When using an offset design match, also called drop match, the design expands beyond the width of one roll and therefore needs to match the strips around it both horizontally and vertically. Offset designs are the most difficult to align and require you to determine which strips will go where before you begin. The half-drop match repeats at the ceiling line on every other strip creating a diagonal pattern sequence. Offset matches also require more wallpaper and create more waste. You would need three strips of wallpaper to repeat the vertical design.

Straight match matches across the wallpaper, or in other words it matches the pattern from the other side of the strip. It is not complex, and you will easily be able to see how the strips need to be hung to make a seamless pattern across the wall.
